Different from TV companies that directly launch the complete TV set to users, this time Estar launch its laser TV optical engine mainly to TV companies. At the launch event, several independently developed technologies of Estar laser TV optical engine and the optical module were launched to the public.

Technologically, laser projection display technology, for which laser is the light source, can reproduce the color of the world most vividly. From a colorimetric viewpoint, the color gamut coverage ratio of laser display reaches 90% of the colors human eyes can identify, which is over twice of that of traditional display. Compared with three previous generations of display technology, this is a big breakthrough which realizes the best color reproduction in human history and lets people see the truest and most colorful world through the display terminal.

Modern laser TV separates the mainframe and the screen. It adjusts the size of displayed image through setting the distance of projection of the mainframe, thus realizing HD picture of large size. The core component of the mainframe is the optical engine. Estar laser TV optical engine includes laser TV light source module, HD ultra short focal projection optical system and so on. With a special laser TV screen, it realizes close projection.

Estar has independent intellectual property right of the laser TV optical engine module, including the laser source module and the ultra short focal camera.


The comparison between ordinary display and wide color gamut display


Compared with traditional TV, laser projection can realize wide color gamut of over 70% NTSC, offering vivid color reproduction. The 1080p HD projection display chip of the light machine maintains good quality of pictures. Meanwhile the clarity of images will greatly improve with the improvement of color saturation. The ANSI luminous flux of the independently developed light machine is over 2600 lm, and it can work over 20000 hours at high luminosity. The solid structure design of laser eliminates the radiation which may harm human eyes. The light source module has a special structure which is easy to be dismantled and maintained. The luminance can be increased by adding light source module. The bulb adopts pure laser source which is more environmentally friendly and consumes less energy.


The ultra short focal lens of Estar laser TV optical engine


The ultra short focal independently developed by Estar can project 100 inch image from only 0.48m off the screen, and 110 inch image from 0.52m off the screen. The special design of the structure of the ultra short focal lens produces the best effect of the light source and maintains the homogeneity of the light source.



The laser TV screen launched by Estar is specially designed for laser TV. The screen adopts material technology, coating technology and micro lens theory. There is Fresnel lens in the screen, which collects the output beam of laser TV and transmits it to the audiences. It has advantages such as high contrast, high gain and anti-glare. It can effectively resist the influence of the ambient light and offer more vivid images. Since laser is the backlight of the TV, the special screen is very thin and is easy to be cleaned. It also has the function of a touch screen. It is suitable for many occasions including family, small-sized cinema, small and middle-sized conference room and classroom.
