The first holographic phone in the world has officially passed the identification of scientific and technological achievements. On the afternoon of 29th September, at the identification conference for the project of Takee holographic phone held by Shenzhen Hi-tech Industry Association, experts thought the project developed efficient real-time eye tracking technology and self-calibration technology of the display system, realized the function of operating the phone without touching it and made an innovation in traditional smart phones. During the development, 41 patents were applied and 2 had already been authorized. The project adopted leading technology in China, and the technology is also advanced worldwide.

Experts attending the conference are from the following universities and institutions: the Electronic and Computer Engineering School of Peking University, the Fujian Material Structure Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology, Institutes of Advanced Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Du Pont Research Center of America, Kopin (HK) Limited, Shenzhen Yinglun Limited, Estar, and Shenzhen Hi-tech Industry Association.

The identification committee was authorized by Shenzhen Scientific and Technological Innovation Committee and held by Shenzhen Hi-tech Industry Association. Experts listened to the report of the development of holographic phone, checked the test report and watched on-the-spot demonstration. After discussion, they believed that this project was a new type of individual digital holographic display technology based on dynamic space location information and real-time rendering of 3D model. The project developed efficient real-time eye tracking technology and self-calibration technology of the display system, and realized the function of operating the phone without touching it. The achievement of the project has strong practicability. The technology adopted reached a leading level in China and an advanced level in the world. Experts of the committee all agreed that this project should pass the identification.
