3D display technology has been commonly applied in people’s daily life, for example, in 3D movies, 3D games, 3D navigation and so on. Nowadays, 3D display is developing towards holographic display. On 17th July, Estar launched the world’s first holographic phone. Takee holographic phone is the first mobile terminal that adopts holographic display technology. It tracks the visual angle of human eyes and calculates the real holographic image based on holographic image data model. Then, through the special directional display screen, it projects the stereoscopic images onto the retina of human eyes. Thus, the visual effect produced is exactly the same as the real visual perception.

The mobile terminal adopting holographic display technology needs the support of various holographic APPs. Estar has established Cloud Cube, the world’s first service company providing 3D and holographic content including games, films, TV programs and other APPs. Dedicated to creating the world’s largest 3D and holographic entertainment interaction platform, Cloud Cube aims at providing the users with great entertainment experiences through holographic game engine, virtual control solution and holographic display technology. Currently, Cloud Cube is cooperating with GDC and iQIYI. It also works with over ten famous game companies including CMGE to improve its mobile game service. The special custom content of Takee phone is mainly from Cloud Cube which fully shares its resources with Takee Company.

Song Wei, General Secretary of GMGC and Liu Meihong, President of Estar, announced the start of the holographic game developer competition.

In order to attract and encourage more game developers, the 2014 first Holographic Games Developer Competition Cloud Cube-Takee Cup held by Cloud Cube and Takee and assisted by GMGC officially started at GMGDC on 24th September. Song Wei, General Secretary of GMGC and Liu Meihong, President of Estar, attended the opening ceremony of the competition together.
